Schneider Electric Polska Sp. z o.o. - Writer

The Writer position is part copywriter, part journalist. He or she works with internal Schneider Electric clients to develop content for marketing materials. The Writer works directly with other writers, an editor, project managers, and designers. He or she is provided access to subject matter experts, research, reports, etc., and is expected to quickly absorb business needs in the context of industry trends. The ideal candidate is a confident, seasoned writer able to deliver strong copy in English.

Major duties and responsibilities:

• Writes copy for marketing initiatives, including email campaigns, print and web ads, PR materials, website content, and social media
• Understands key customer segmentation across our core businesses and performs research as needed
• Delivers world-class headlines/copy which drive measurable customer interest
• Collaborates with creative team members and business partners to determine direction of concepts and copy for branding and marketing initiatives
• Performs basic QA on all generated copy
• Helps to craft thought-leadership pieces with subject matter experts

Required qualifications and skills:

• Marketing, editorial, and/or creative copywriting
• Concepting and brainstorming skills
• Research, data collection, and interviewing skills
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills
• Technical content aptitude and attention to detail
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs
• At least 5 yrs. experience in writing/editing for publications, direct marketing, advertising, web-related material, or special projects
• A Bachelor’s Degree in a discipline related to communications (Journalism, English, Marketing, Public Relations, etc…)
